PROVISION OF POWERLOG 3.4 SOFTWARE

  • Client Name: Al-Waha (WAPEC) and Midland Oil Company
  • Duration of execution: Three months (90 days)
  • Start Date:4/12/2014 Completion Date: 3/3/2015

DESCRIPTION:

The project “Provision of PowerLog 3.4 Software” should leads to develop and appraise Oil field.

Through this project IHT provides Software to use every day by petro physicists, geologists and reservoir engineers. To extend PowerLog capabilities, IHT integrates three Advance Modules as optional products:

  • Capillary Pressure: extends PowerLog analysis and generates models for better recovery estimates to determine the wetting characterististics of reservoir rocks, the relative fuid distribution, connate water saturation and likely recoverable oil and gas.
  • PowerLog-RPM: enables a fundamental modeling approach to derive the effective elastic rock properties from fluid and mineral parameters as well as rock structure information.
  • Statmin: uses a probabilistic model to calculate lithoogy, mineralogy, and/ or porosity and solves balanced, over-determined and under-determined models.

SERVICES

  • The remote maintenance and support will be supplied by CGG Jason and local support will be supplied by Iraq Horizon Technology for two years.
  • CGG Jason & Iraq Horizon Technology trains four persons from user department of Midland Oil Company for maximizing the use of the PowerLog Software. Following this course, PowerLog users will be familiar with the basic and advance functions in the
